Day 1: HCMC
We’ll meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel. The rest of your time is free to start exploring the wonderfully chaotic streets.

Day 2: HCMC - Cu Chi
This morning enter the depths of the earth through the famous Cu Chi Tunnels – the secret underground system that stretched for hundreds of kilometres during the war. Immerse yourself in recent history at the War Remnants Museum and Reunification Palace before fitting in some all important retail therapy. (B/L/D)

Day 3: HCMC - My Tho
After driving to the lush Mekong Delta, aka Vietnam’s ‘rice bowl’, we board our boat to cruise the Delta’s many waterways by boat, stopping to taste exotic flavours, fresh from the orchards, including honey. After a lunch of fresh, local ingredients, we head back to HCMC and you’re free to do your own thing. (B/L)

Day 4: HCMC - Phu Quoc
After breakfast we take you to the airport for your flight to beautiful Phu Quoc. After your hotel check-in, we head north to visit the Dinh Cau Temple, where local fisherman pray for luck before heading out to sea, and see how the tiny peppercorns, a Phu Quoc specialty, are grown. Then it’s across the national park to the Vietnam Cambodia border. After lunch you’re free to enjoy the beautiful beaches or explore further. After dinner, you also have the option to experience night squid fishing with local fisherman. (B/L/D)

Day 5: Phu Quoc
Today we visit the south of this unspoilt island, famous for many things, as you’ll discover as we visit an Australian pearl farm, taste the best fish sauce and the local wine, (no, not one and the same), see the local fisherman at work and before taking a beach break at sublime Sao beach. (B/L)

Day 6: Phu Quoc - HCMC
You’re free to relax on the beach or see the catch of the day at Duong Dong market before flying back to HCMC this afternoon. Start planning how to make the most of your last night in HCMC. (B/L)

Day 7: HCMC
Another free day before we take to you to the airport for your flight home. Do some last minute shopping. Eat up a storm. Book a complete spa package. Just enjoy. (B)

Hanoi Halong Bay Sapa Ninh Binh

Walk the elegant boulevards of Hanoi, trek hilltribe villages and sail one of the world’s most beautiful bays.

Day 1: Hanoi
We’ll meet you at the airport and bring you to your hotel in Vietnam’s stately capital.

Day 2: Hanoi
The morning we go to Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum to see the President in his resting place, before visiting his former home, the House of Stilts, and the One Pillar Pagoda. This afternoon, enjoy the serenity of the historic Temple of Literature and Hoan Kiem Lake before plunging into the streets of the bustling Old Quarter for an hour’s tour by cyclo. (B/L)

Day 3: Hanoi - Halong Bay
We leave the busy streets of Hanoi to make our way through the countryside to stunning Halong Bay. (B/L/D)

Day 4: Halong Bay - Hanoi - Sapa
Spend a leisurely day sailing spectacular Halong Bay. Weave by thousands of limestone islands, dotted with caves and grottos, that rise out of the tranquil waters. Enjoy a fresh seafood lunch onboard before we head back to Hanoi to catch the overnight train to Lao Cai on the Chinese border. (B/L/D)

Day 5: Sapa
After breakfast in Lao Cai we drive to the former hill station town of Sapa, where the clothes and crafts of the local hilltribes fill the streets and markets with colour. (B/L)

Day 6: Sapa
Get an insight into hilltribe life in the village of Ta Phin before taking a scenic 2-hour trek to the meet the H’Mong and Red Dzao people in their villages. A genuinely enjoyable experience. (B/L)

Day 7: Sapa - Hanoi
If it’s a Sunday, the morning is spent at colourful Bac Ha market, where hilltribe people meet to sell their wares. On any other day, we’ll head to the hills for a trip to the Thai hilltribe villages of Binh Lu. Then it’s back to Hanoi on the overnight train from Lao Cai. (B/L/D)

Day 8: Hanoi - NinhBinh
Today you’ll see beauty to rival Halong Bay but this time on land. From the rice paddies of Tam Coc, small boats take us downstream through magnificent tunnels and caves. Enjoy the view from a cliff-side pagoda before we return to Hanoi, stopping at the Dinh and Le dynasty temples at Hoa Lu. (B/L/D)

This morning we join local people paying their respects to President Ho Chi Minh in his Mausoleum, before exploring his former home, the House of Stilts and the One Pillar Pagoda. Then sit back and enjoy your first view of the northern countryside as we drive to Halong Bay, stopping for lunch on the way. (B/L/D)

Day 3: Halong Bay - Hanoi
Sail one of the world’s greatest natural wonders. This mesmerising seascape of thousands of limestone islands rising mystically from the water is filled with caves and grottos to explore. Then it’s back to Hanoi to enjoy the city by night. (B/L/D)

Day 4: Hanoi
Tune into your inner culture vulture with a visit to the Temple of Literature and Fine Art Museum in the morning. The afternoon is free. (B/L)

Day 5: Hanoi - Hue
Today we fly to the former imperial city of Hue. Get your bearings with a tour that takes in the impressive remains of the walled Citadel. The rest of your day is free. (B/L/D)

Day 6: Hue - Hoi An
There’s so much to see as we cruise down the Perfume River to the iconic Thien Mu pagoda before visiting the vast and ornate tombs of Vietnam’s last imperial dynasties, Emperors Minh Mang, Khai Dinh and Tu Duc. This afternoon we take a scenic drive over the stunning Hai Van Pass to Hoi An, visiting China Beach, Cham Museum and Marble Mountain on the way. (B/L)

Day 7: Hoi An
Once a thriving river port, historic Hoi An will charm you as we get to know its narrow streets, and explore ancient merchant houses, temples and covered Japanese bridges. It’s a free afternoon. Order something special from the local tailors. Or head to the beach; it’s just a bike or taxi ride away. (B/L)

Day 8: Hoi An - Danang – HCMC
Use this morning to do any last minute things around town before we head to Danang to fly to Ho Chi Minh City and our first dinner in this modern and vividly chaotic city. (B/L/D)

Day 9: HCMC - Cu Chi Tunnels
This morning we drive out to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels – so don’t eat too much breakfast. We’ll explore a section of this amazing underground network of tunnels that stretched for hundreds of kilometres. Back in town recent history is recalled at the War Remnants Museum and Reunification Palace. (B/L)

Day 10: HCMC - My Tho
We make our way through the lush countryside of the Mekong Delta, aka the ‘rice bowl’, to My Tho. Cruise waterways, stopping at abundant orchards to taste exotic fruits and delicious honey. The afternoon’s free back in town. (B/L)

Your day’s free before we take you to the airport for your flight home. (B)

Day 1: Hanoi
We’ll meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel.

Day 2: Hanoi - Halong Bay
No trip to Hanoi is complete without a visit to see President Ho Chi Minh in his Mausoleum and his former home and the One Pillar Pagoda. Then sit back and watch the rice paddies go by on our drive to Halong Bay. (B/L/D)

Day 3: Halong Bay - Hanoi
Enjoy a lazy day sailing spectacular Halong Bay, with its thousands of limestone islands dotted with caves and grottos. A fresh seafood lunch is served onboard and by evening you’ll be back in midst of lively Hanoi. (B/L)

Day 4: Hanoi - Ninh Binh
From Tam Coc small boats will wend you downstream through magnificent tunnels and caves. On our way back to Hanoi we visit temples dating back to the Dinh and Le dynasties. (B/L)

Day 6: Hanoi - Hue
After your morning flight to Hue, we take a quick city tour that includes the walled Citadel. (B/L/D)

Day 7: Hue - Danang - Hoi An

After flying to the tropical beaches of Nha Trang from Danang, we visit the stunning Cham Po Nagar Towers. (B/L/D)

Day 10: Nha Trang
It’s a day at sea with a visit to the aquarium, snorkelling at Tam island, and a stop at Mieu Island fishing village for lunch. Recharge this afternoon at the That Ba Hot Springs where you can soak in a mud bath or take a swim in the mineral springs. (B/L)

Day 11: Nha Trang - HCMC
Your last chance to relax by the beach before we catch our flight to lively Ho Chi Minh city. (B/L)

Day 12: HCMC - Cu Chi Tunnel
This morning you’ll enter the secret tunnel system at Cu Chi. Go underground in this amazing network that stretches for hundreds of kilometres. On our return to Ho Chi Minh City there’s more recent history at the War Remnants Museum and Reunification Palace. (B/L)

Day 13: HCMC - My Tho
Down in the lush Mekong Delta you’ll board a boat that will take you to the exotic sights and smells of the Cai Be Floating market. You’ll also taste fresh local flavours at riverside orchards before we head back to HCMC. (B/L)

Your last chance to enjoy this fantastic city before we take you to the airport for your flight home. (B)

We’ll meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel. You can then start exploring the city’s wondrously chaotic streets.

Day 2: HCMC - Cu Chi - HCMC
This morning we drive to Cu Chi to go underground and explore this famous secret tunnel system that stretched over hundreds of kilometers during the war. After this unique experience we return to HCMC for lunch and more history with the War Remnants Museum and the Reunification Palace. (B/L/D)

Day 3: HCMC - My Tho
Down south in the Mekong Delta, aka the ‘rice bowl’, is the town of My Tho. From here we take a boat ride down the Mekong to the Thai Son Islands, stopping at orchards to taste sweet local fruit and honey on the way. After lunch, it’s back to HCMC and plenty of free time to do your own thing. Perhaps a spa treatment? (B/L)

Day 4: HCMC
A day to do whatever you like. You could check out the amazing markets or burgeoning boutiques. Or search the streets for the best pho or noodles, freshly made and full of herbs. (B)

Day 5: HCMC - Hue
After flying to Hue and settling in at our hotel, get your bearings with a tour of this former imperial city. Then you’re free to explore the riverside or serene back streets in your own time before dinner at a local restaurant. (B/L/D)

Day 6: Hue - Danang - Hoi An
This morning you’ll cruise down the Perfume River to the beautiful Thien Mu Pagoda, as well as the impressive mausoleums of Emperors Ming Mang, Khai Dinh and Tu Duc. After lunch enjoy superb views as we travel over the Hai Van Pass to Hoi An, stopping at famous China Beach, Cham Museum and Marble Mountain on the way. (B/L/D)

Day 7: Hoi An
This morning we explore the town’s beautifully preserved merchant houses and the Japanese covered bridge. The afternoon is spent cruising the waterways of this once thriving port to the Cua Dai estuary, watching life on the river and stopping at a water coconut tree grove. (B/L)

Day 8: Hoi An - Danang - Hanoi
If you haven’t already, make sure you visit the lively market this morning before our flight to stately Hanoi. (B/L/D)

Day 9: Hanoi - Halong Bay
You can’t come to this town without paying your respects at Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, and visiting ‘Uncle Ho’s’ former home and the One Pillar Pagoda. Then enjoy the sights of the northern countryside as we drive to Halong Bay, stopping for lunch on the way. (B/L/D)

Day 10: Halong Bay - Hanoi
Spend a memorable day cruising one of the world’s great natural wonders. The bay’s thousands of limestone islands are filled with caves and grottos to explore. Lunch is fresh seafood onboard before we return to Hanoi. And dinner? Good French and regional Vietnamese food is easy to find on Hanoi’s streets. (B/L)

Day 11: Hanoi - Ninh Binh
From Tam Coc we cruise downstream in small boats through magnificent tunnels and caves in this stunning landscape known as Halong Bay on rice paddies. The view from a pagoda built into a cliff face is a must for your camera. At Hoa Lu we visit temples from the Dinh and Le dynasties before returning to lively Hanoi. (B/L)

Day 12: Hanoi
Make your own way today. This city of wide boulevards and restful lakes is full of hidden treasures. The bustling Old Quarter is also a must. (B)

Day 13: Hanoi - Luang Prabang
This morning we fly to the former royal town of Luang Prabang via Vientiane. Once our local guide has settled you into your hotel the rest of the day is free to get into the languid pace. Meet the local hilltribe people selling their wares at the market or try your first Lao coffee – perhaps at a little French patisserie. (B/D)

Day 14: Luang Prabang
After visiting the former Royal Palace on the river, we start exploring this wonderland of gilded wats at Wat Xieng Thong, Wat Ami and Wat Visoun. In the afternoon a short boat ride down the Mekong takes you to Pak Ou caves, filled with hundreds of Buddha statues. Back in town, take in the sunset panorama from Mount Phousi. (B/L)

Day 15: Luang Prabang
This is a great place to chill out so nothing’s planned for today. You may want to step out at dawn to see the monks receiving alms, or organise a ride out to the Kuang Si falls. (B)

Day 16: Luang Prabang - Vientiane
A free morning before your flight to friendly Vientiane. We tour the golden splendour of Wat Phat That Luang, as well as Wat Haw Phra Kaew and the oldest temple, Wat Si Saket. Patouxai, the Laos version of an Arc de Triomphe, is also on the agenda. The rest of the day is free. Head down to the Mekong for a Beer Lao at sunset. (B/L/D)

Day 17: Vientiane - Phnom Penh
After flying to Phnom Penh, our guide will meet you and take you to your hotel. After lunch we visit the Royal Palace, the shimmering Silver Pagoda and the National Museum. Then view the city from the Mekong on a river cruise. (B/L/D)

Day 18: Phnom Penh - Siem Reap
You’ll fly to Siem Reap, gateway to the amazing temples of Angkor, and should be in your hotel in time for lunch. Your day is free to explore the local markets or simply relax by the pool. (B/L/D)

Day 19: Siem Reap
Today is spent at the amazing temples at Angkor. Wonder at the carvings of Banteay Srei, Neak Pean, Preah Khan. In the afternoon explore junglebound Ta Keo and Ta Prohm before the unforgettable sight of sunset over magnificent Angkor Wat. Enjoy traditional dancing at this evening’s dinner. (B/L/D)

Day 20: Siem Reap
A free day. Take a tuk tuk out to explore more of Angkor, or enjoy some last minute R & R. (B/L)
